Researchers in The Dickson Poon School of Law are committed to exploring the role of law in solving today’s global problems. 

In the 2014 Research Excellence Framework (REF), research in the School was rated as number one in the UK. 100% of Law impact case studies and 84% of outputs were rated 3-4*, where 4* represents world-leading in terms of originality, significance and rigour.* 

Our influence extends across all levels of policy making bodies, from local government to national government, both in the UK, Europe and Worldwide.

Our research:

Members of The Dickson Poon School of Law advise governments, serve on commissions and public bodies and are seconded to national and international organisations. Through their work with the public, private and voluntary sectors, our expertise is made available to the wider community.
